Finally…
…got off my arse and started recording that song I had thought up a few weeks ago. What started out as a simple guitar track a few weeks ago now has a bass track, piano track, violin track and drum track added to it in just 2 hours or so. A bridge just needs to be worked out, some lead guitar put on it and a set of lyrics to go with it and it’s complete. Yet another track to put on an album soon.
I think I’ll record…
…that song tomorrow after dying my hair, I’m toying with the idea of playing some piano over it and I might even add some percussive parts, like a xylophone or something. I can always take it out if I don’t like it much. I’ll definitely try the piano on it though.
I’ve composed this…
…50’s style sorta doo-wop song. So far I’ve got the guitar tracks and the bassline. The drums will have to be figured out later if I can actually get near a kit anytime soon, which unfortunately isn’t likely >.<
No lyrics for it yet, but I’m sure Liam will probably have a set of lyrics he hasn’t got any music for that will fit.
I think it’s probably my favourite of anything I’ve ever composed. When we finally get into the studio to record either an EP or an album, I definitely want it on there. At the moment, all the songs we have are pretty loud and fast and they’re almost all guitar orientated. Liam’s songs are full of great lead parts and solos and Mig’s songs are just so fast in terms of chord changes. It’d be good to have a slower song somewhere in the middle where the bass is the dominant instrument. I’m not a background bass player. I wanna be up front just as much as they are.

Just wanna clear a few things up…
…about yesterday. I have no negative feelings towards her and we’re still going to remain good friends and we’ll still hang out and everything. I just wanted to make it clear that there were no bad feelings between us.

And I’m so fucking stupid, because I didn’t even think to buy chocolate, and this is the time that I need chocolate most.

…build up some momentum with the ladyfriend again. Things have died down a bit recently and I haven’t seen her properly since we went to the zoo on the 13th of March :/
Just went for a crafty one down the forest…
…and found a car completely abandoned with the drivers side door open. All sorts of stuff just chucked on the seats, looking like it had been ransacked. Waited 25 minutes to see if anyone turned up and a couple came along. Turns out they’d left the door open without realising and went for a walk. Luckily, nothing had been stolen, despite her very expensive looking phone and his wallet being left on the back seat. Tourists: Silly sausages!

Also…
…I really want to take the ladyfriend to Colwyn Bay Zoo or something once my work contract is finished. I’ve saved up a decent amount of cash so a few excursions here and there with her would be lovely.
And the fact that she’s never seen a meerkat or an alligator in person kinda clinches the fact that a day out to the Zoo would be a win.
And if it goes well, she’s never seen an elephant either, so a trip to Chester Zoo would be pretty bloody brilliant!
